Today we had a good look round and did some planning.
A major job will be replacing the old kitchen, altering the layout, adding a new oven, hob, cooker hood and new tiles.
Although the place has been rewired some time ago there needs to be more power points and the wires need chasing into the walls, there also needs to be a couple of extra lights added here and there and the cooker point wants moving.
There are a couple of gas pipes which seem to have been put in random places these will have to be re-routed. The gas fire will be replaced with an electric one, not sure what to do about the fire back as I quite like the tiles at the back, it will depend what fire we have.
The central heating boiler is about 8 years old so it has plenty of life left in it.
The whole place will be redecorated and plastered where needed (ffunds allowing), adding new interior doors. The exterior doors are quite new and very secure, all the windows are upvc as are the facias and soffits.
The bathroom, though very small is acceptable and clean, it is completly tiled, has a large shower cubical a relativley new electric shower, toilet and basin. The only thing needed in here is new floor covering, new taps and a new loo seat.
Overall we are pleased with the place and can't wait to get stuck in.
| In the new arrangement the sink will be moved along making way for the washing machine near the window and the fridge next to the new unit on the other side |
| The new electric oven and hob will be moved over to the middle of this area, |
